Every Hard Heart ring is cast in oxidized sterling silver and finished by hand. Some pieces feature gold-tone accents or set stones, which are noted in the product description. We don't do hollow, plated-over-base-metal costume jewelry — our pieces are built to be worn hard and to last.
Yes — it's intentional and it's the whole point. Our pieces are oxidized on purpose, which darkens the recesses and makes the detail stand out. That dark, antiqued finish is the Hard Heart look. It is not tarnish, damage, or a defect.
Over time, with wear, the finish will naturally shift and develop a patina — high-contact areas may lighten while crevices stay dark. This is how oxidized silver ages, and many people prefer it as it breaks in.
The oxidized finish will naturally evolve with wear — that's normal for sterling silver and part of its character. If you ever want to bring back the original contrast, a soft jewelry polishing cloth will gently lift surface dullness on the raised areas while leaving the dark recesses intact.
Each product page lists the available sizes. If you're between sizes or unsure, message us before ordering and we'll help you choose. Many of our bands are adjustable — check the individual product description for fit details.
To keep your piece at its best:
- Store it dry, ideally in a pouch or box, away from humidity.
- Remove it before showering, swimming, or working out — chlorine, saltwater, and sweat can affect the finish.
- Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, and harsh chemicals.
- Polish gently with a soft silver cloth when you want to refresh the contrast.
Our pieces are sterling silver, which most people with sensitive skin wear comfortably. If you have a known metal allergy, check the product description for any mixed-metal accents and reach out if you're unsure.
Our Editions (such as Null Edition and Base Unit) are sealed, numbered releases. A single piece is offered in a handful of numbered casts, each priced individually and sold only once. When the casts are gone, the Edition closes — it is never restocked or reissued.
Editions follow the same EU 14-day right of withdrawal as any other piece, so you can return an unworn Edition for a refund. Because each cast is one-of-one, Editions are not eligible for size or style exchanges. See our Returns & Exchanges policy for details.
Orders are processed in 1–3 business days, then typically arrive within 10–15 business days depending on your destination and local customs. The delivery estimate counts from the dispatch date. Every order is fully tracked, and you'll get a tracking link by email when it ships.
Yes — we ship Hard Heart pieces worldwide with full tracking. Shipping cost depends on the piece and your destination, and is calculated at checkout before you pay.
Possibly. Depending on your country, you may be responsible for import VAT, customs duties, or carrier handling fees as the Importer of Record. These charges are set by your local customs authority, are not included in our prices, and are non-refundable. See our Shipping Information page for full details.
First, check with your local carrier or post office, and with neighbours, building reception, or your mailroom. If it still doesn't turn up, contact us with your order number and we'll help open a claim with the carrier.
If you're not satisfied, you can return an unworn piece in its original packaging within 14 days of delivery for a refund or exchange. If the piece is faulty, we cover return shipping; if you simply changed your mind, return shipping is on you. Full details are on our Returns & Exchanges page.
Every non-limited Hard Heart ring is covered by a free Lifetime Guarantee against manufacturing defects under normal wear. If a covered piece fails, we replace it at no charge. Natural patina and accidental damage aren't covered — see our Lifetime Guarantee page for the full breakdown.
A few common reasons: the code may have expired, it may not apply to the items in your cart, or only one code can be used per order. Check the spelling and any minimum-spend requirement. If it still won't apply, message us and we'll sort it out.
We process orders quickly, so contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel. If your order hasn't shipped yet, we'll do our best to help. Once it's dispatched, it falls under our standard returns process.
